The Healthy Back programme is personal training, not medical care. It does not replace diagnosis or treatment by a doctor or physiotherapist.
Please see a doctor before starting if you have:
- sudden, severe or rapidly worsening back pain;
- pain after an injury, fall or accident;
- recent spinal surgery, or a diagnosed disc problem with numbness or weakness;
- pregnancy or a recent birth;
- current or past cancer;
- unexplained weight loss, fever or chills together with back pain;
- pain that doesn't ease with rest or gets worse at night.
Call an ambulance (112) straight away if back pain comes with numbness or weakness in both legs, loss of feeling around your genitals or bottom, problems peeing or controlling your bladder or bowels, or chest pain.
If pain sharply increases or spreads down your leg during a session, I stop the session.
